TOP 15 Greatest Dance Movies

What is your favorite dance movie?

Dance Movies are always fun. Thinking of my favorite ones it is very difficult to say which I like the most. There are so many kinds of Dance Movies around, from the classical masterpiece with Gene Kelly „Singing in the Rain“, some sweet 80s dance movies like „Flashdance“, to the more modern street dancing movies like the Step up street dance battle.

TOP 10 Classical Ballet Companies

Top of the Ballet World

All rankings are subjective but first in mind I am thinking of the TOP 6  which have been internationally famous for decades and are the most common ones. These ballet companies are considered as such because they have a Ballet School, a repertoire,  a great corps, and have survived more than one director.

What do you think? Which company you love most?

TOP 10 Best Primaballerinas

Who is my favorite ballerina?

My friends often ask me about my favourite ballerina. As I have been a ballet lover for decades, it is quite difficult to answer this question, given the amount of ballerinas I have seen perform. All dancers have different strengths and weaknesses; Rudolf Nurejew, for example, while a presence onstage and reknowned as the best dancer of the 20th century, would not be considered extremely talented by todays standards. I will also not be mentioning excellent prima ballerinas who have passed their prime, such as Sylvie Gulliem and Darcy Bursell.
