After turbulent and difficult months, we’re excited to start the 2O/21 season with great news: Ballett Zürich has been named «Company of the Year» by the critics‘ survey of the renowned tanz – Zeitschrift für Ballett, Tanz und Perfromance. In addition, Christian Spuck’s production of Helmut Lachenmann’s «Das Mädchen mit den Schwefelhölzern» has been named «Production of the Year».
We’re delighted with this award, which gives us additional motivation in these challenging times. Special thanks and congratulations to our dancers and the entire Opernhaus Zürich.
Ballett Zürich has been back from its summer break for two weeks now and is rehearsing for «Dornröschen», staged by Christian Spuck. His new production will premier on 10 October. We can’t wait to finally be back on stage and dance for our audience!

BLOG ABOUT BALLET AND DANCE 
Fantastic! Looks like I really should come to Zurich! Our friends just asked us to come again anyway. Last time we tried it in March we had to turn around in Karlsruhe due to Corona. A day later they closed the border. I miss live theater and music so much and can’t wait to go out to see new productions as well! Let’s hope we will have a „normal“ season ahead of us!!!
