While I am dearly missing live ballet and dance performances in these times of corona, fortunately there are plenty of streaming offers around. As it will still take a while for operas and theaters to open, I started watching Marquee.TV – streaming Arts and Culture https://www.marquee.tv .
It offers on demand access to critically acclaimed dance, opera and theatre performances from across the globe, with a variety of stunning ballet and dance performances: The Royal Ballet London, the Bolschoi Ballet, American masters, British choreographers and a lot more. Many of them I had always wanted to see, such as Giselle By Akram Khan, Swan Lake by Alexander Ekman, Sutra by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui and Betroffenheit by Crystal Pite.
With genres such as ballet, opera, contemporary dance, documentaries and theatre, as well as plenty of behind the scenes, dance festivals, dance films, artist portraits and even hip hop inspired works available, I will definitely be kept busy for a while.
