Ein Ballettmeister mit vielfältigen Aufgaben

Interview mit Jean-François Boisnon, Ballettmeister Ballett Zürich

Als Lehrer, Trainer und Coach arbeitet Jean-François Boisnon täglich mit dem Ballett Zürich. In unserem Interview im März 2020 gewährte er uns einen Einblick in seinen Arbeitsalltag.

Du bist seit 2000 Ballettmeister beim Ballett Zürich, zudem Assistent von Alexei Ratmansky für Schwanensee und Gastlehrer am Teatro alla Scala in Mailand. Welche Aufgaben hat ein Ballettmeister? 

Ballettmeister trainieren und arbeiten mit den Tänzerinnen und Tänzern den ganzen Tag. Wir sind hier zu Dritt: Ich teile mir die Arbeit mit Eva Dewaele und Daniel Otevrel. Als erstes am Morgen absolviert ein Ballettmeister oder eine Ballettmeisterin das tägliche Training zum Aufwärmen und um den Körper in der klassischen Tanztechnik zu perfektionieren. Danach studieren wir gemeinsam die kommenden Choreografien ein.

Als Ballettdirektor und Chefchoreograf am Staatstheater Kassel schrieb André Doutreval zusammen mit seiner Frau Silvia Haemmig Ballettgeschichte. Ihr damals revolutionäres Konzept, modernes Tanztheater zu inszenieren, das sich kritisch und provokativ mit gesellschaftlichen Problemen auseinandersetzt, brachte internationalen Erfolg. Themen wie Umweltzerstörung, Technisierung, Gewinnmaximierung und Sexismus wurden von ihnen schon in den 70er-Jahren choreografisch avantgardistisch umgesetzt. Ein richtungsweisendes und mutiges Konzept!
